What is RoomView?
RoomView is a room-level transparency platform that lets you see the actual view from every individual hotel room before booking. Instead of generic category photos, RoomView shows you the real view from the specific room you're considering — so you can make an informed decision.
How do I use RoomView to pick a room?
Browse available hotels in the RoomView portfolio. Select a property, then use the interactive room map to explore individual rooms. Each room shows its view quality, floor position, and facing direction so you can compare options before you book through your preferred platform.
Is RoomView free to use?
Yes. Accessing room-level view data and the RoomView portfolio is free for guests. RoomView earns revenue through hotel partnerships, not by charging guests.
Can I book directly through RoomView?
RoomView currently focuses on helping you identify the best room before booking. Actual reservations are completed through the hotel directly or via your preferred booking platform. We're exploring direct booking integrations for future releases.
What does the room score mean?
Each room receives a RoomRank score reflecting the objective quality of its view based on multiple measurable factors including elevation, facing direction, obstruction distance, and proximity to landmarks. Higher scores indicate better view quality. Scores are comparable within a property.

How does RoomView benefit our property?
RoomView helps hotels differentiate premium inventory, reduce expectation mismatch, and support pricing decisions with room-level data. Properties in the portfolio benefit from improved guest clarity, stronger positioning of high-view rooms, and access to our View Value pricing intelligence platform.
Does RoomView replace our booking engine?
No. RoomView is designed to complement existing hotel technology, not replace it. Our platform layers on top of your PMS, CRS, and booking systems. Your operations and reservation workflows remain unchanged.
How long does it take to onboard a property?
Initial data collection and room mapping for most properties takes between one and three weeks depending on property size and data availability. Technical integration for View Value and API connectivity can typically be completed within a business day once credentials are issued.
Who owns the property's room data?
Hotels retain ownership of their property data. RoomView processes and enriches it to generate room intelligence outputs, but the underlying property information belongs to the hotel. Data access and sharing boundaries are defined in the partnership agreement.

The Platform
What is View Value?
View Value is RoomView's pricing intelligence platform. It connects room-level view quality data with pricing signals, demand calendars, and market comparisons to help hotels optimize rates at the individual room level. It consists of four modules: Hotel Rates, Hotel Market, Hotel Calendar, and Hotel Connectors.
What is RoomRank?
RoomRank is RoomView's proprietary scoring system that objectively evaluates the view quality of individual hotel rooms. It processes multiple measurable factors to generate a comparable score for each room within a property. RoomRank is patent pending.
Which hotels are currently in the RoomView portfolio?
RoomView is currently in early access with a growing portfolio of partner properties. Visit the Hotels page to see current listings. We're onboarding new properties on an ongoing basis — contact us if you'd like your hotel added.
Is RoomView available internationally?
Yes. RoomView is a web-based platform accessible globally. Our hotel onboarding program accepts properties worldwide. The platform interface is currently available in English, with additional language support planned.
Technical & Integration
Does RoomView offer an API?
Yes. RoomView provides a REST API for hotel partners to query room-level intelligence data, demand signals, and market information. API access is available for properties in our early access program. See our Integration & API page for details.
What PMS systems does RoomView connect to?
RoomView's connector layer is designed to work with major Property Management Systems. Native connectors for specific PMS platforms are currently in early access. For properties with less common systems, the REST API and data export options provide an alternative integration path.
Is guest data collected or stored by RoomView?
RoomView processes property and room-level data — not individual guest reservation data. We collect standard web analytics data when you visit the platform (see our Privacy Policy). Hotel integrations do not require guest PII to function.
How is data security handled?
All API communication is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS. API keys are scoped per property and can be rotated at any time. We follow industry-standard practices for data handling and access control. For enterprise security requirements, contact our team directly.
